Funding Initiatives for Groundbreaking Environmental Technologies

As the world witnesses the rapid advancements in environmental technologies and their integration into various scientific fields, the Shaparak Foundation is excited to announce its initiative to fund projects that explore and enhance the capabilities of these innovative systems.

Our approach includes two separate requests for proposals (RFPs) — one focused on benchmarking environmental technology agents, and the other on studying and forecasting the impacts of these systems in real-world applications.

This opportunity is open to a wide range of applicants, including those in academia, nonprofits, or working independently. We are also considering restricted grants for projects within for-profit organizations. Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis, ensuring a dynamic and responsive funding process.

Benchmarking Environmental Technology Agents

This RFP is designed to support projects that establish benchmarks for assessing how close environmental technology agents are to performing consequential tasks in real-world settings.

Given the nascent stage of these technologies, their current impact might seem limited. However, fully realized, these agents could revolutionize fields such as renewable energy, waste management, and carbon reduction. Understanding the potential and limitations of these technologies is crucial for both maximizing their benefits and mitigating risks.

We aim to fund benchmarks that will reliably indicate the scale at which these technologies can impact our world, such as significantly advancing sustainable practices or revolutionizing energy efficiency.

Studying and Forecasting the Real-World Impacts of Environmental Technology Systems

Aside from benchmarking, this RFP aims to support a broad spectrum of research projects that can illuminate the potential real-world impacts of environmental technology systems over the coming years.

Projects might include, for instance, conducting trials to measure how these technologies enhance efficiency in environmental management, polling public opinion on the adoption and usefulness of these technologies, or gathering expert forecasts on the future capabilities and challenges of these systems.

For more information and to apply, interested parties can visit our dedicated RFP page.

We will also be hosting a webinar to answer questions about these RFPs, providing a platform for potential applicants to gain deeper insights into our objectives and application process.

Stay tuned for more details on the webinar schedule and how to participate.

Dedicated to advancing scientific research for a better tomorrow.
